Lost in the vastness, some dispersed particles wait for time in order to start ...
Every second is eternal
Infinity is invisible
Silence, immobile, can't yet exist
Until a vibration in which consciousness can appear …
about
With our CD ‘When The Morning Came’ we began to explore new musical horizons by processing a number of compositions far from the often reducing standards of style, acoustic or technical boundaries and conventions. The songs ‘And when the morning came’, ‘Secret doors’ and ‘Nebulous’ were the first steps of this different approach.
It is in that spirit that we have composed ‘Entropie’, our 13th official musical production. Entropy is the definition of the state of malfunction of a system. The term comes from Greek and means processing. It is at that fundamental level a measure of disorder or degeneracy in a system.
The whole song is largely made with one single instrument. We chose limited resources with the specific purpose of creating a single set of different worlds but settled in a single space. This long piece of more than 45 minutes is free of spatial or temporary references, free of harmonic organisation and melody, free of rhythm and pace ... just totally free.
Several months were needed to achieve this final shot. Time to listen to each part and to hear what the audio world would originate from the previous, because the world that is taking place already existed in another form in the one that occurred to him.
‘Entropie’ is a sound discovery of the disorder, a dive in the impenetrable expanse, for the ambush of the original singularity.
Due to his personal character and his state of mind, the listener can have multiple listenings at different levels. The one, in appearance, places the listener in the presence of evolving sounds. The other, inwardly, places the listener in the heart of that evolution ... where he will roam for no purpose ...
Lost in the vastness, some dispersed particles wait for time in order to start ...
Every second is eternal
Infinity is invisible
Silence, immobile, can't yet exist
Until a vibration in which consciousness can appear …

Recorded at Age Studio between May 2016 and October 2017. We used the amazing Korg PA 500 most of the time alone for the whole recording.
We started with the sample of an acoustic piano to create all the different sounds used in ‘Entropie’.
AGE are Guy Vachaudez & Emmanuel D'haeyere - composers, performers, producers and sounddesigners.
Review
A 45 minutes track of Space Music recorded by Guy Vachaudez and Emmanuel D’haeyere on a range of KORG synthesizers and keyboards.
Over just one long piece it’s a pretty dynamic piece of music that the pair has assembled for ENTROPIE.
This is the style of Electronic Music you get deeply absorbed into (especially on headphones) and the sound quality is quite incredible.
Unlike other earlier AGE material, some of which is known for its strong melodies, there is none of that here, just powerfully engaging atmospheric scene painting of the highest order.
The disc comes in a 4-panel laminated digipak together with a 4-page booklet in which the duo describes the concept behind the excellent cosmic music that they have created for ENTROPIE.
It was in 1977 that AGE officially started to make their own productions. It was from that moment on that we went live with
concerts. Age experimented with several styles ranging from deep space music, sequencer songs to real classic electro pop ambient.By experimenting with different styles AGE developed its own ‘sound signature’ in EM for more 40 years....more
